Reduction of consumption and energy efficiency:
That's how Anodica addresses the goals of Agenda 2030
Rethinking the entire production system is the key to reduce consumption and prevent waste of raw materials
With rising energy costs and the gradual transition to green energy sources, rethinking the entire production system is the key to reducing consumption and preventing waste of energy and raw materials.
Considering the critical energy situation, adopting renewable and sustainable alternatives seems to be an increasingly attractive solution for manufacturing companies (which are among the most energy-intensive players).
For this reason, Anodica Trevigiana has chosen to take a strong position from the environmental point of view, drastically reducing its energy impact thanks to three main solutions:
- Reducing consumption
Anodica has launched an awareness campaign focused on optimizing the use of energy.
Thanks to small changes, indeed, it aims to avoid waste by following a Lean Production model.
Inserting activity sensors that control the lights, adjusting thermostats in offices or reducing the temperature of rooms when not in use, are all actions that both help to lower costs and to reduce the environmental impact. - Awareness and Education
- 100% green energy
In order to reduce its environmental impact, Anodica has for several years now used only energy from certified renewable sources for its production.
Through concrete actions, indeed, the company wants to highlight its commitment to an increasingly green approach.
But that's not all, Anodica has recently installed a modern 240 kW photovoltaic system that satisfies about 12% of the company's energy needs and for which they have already planned expansions and upgrades in the next few years.
Every week Anodica suggests a good practice to its staff to encourage everyone to revise their behaviour towards a green perspective.
By sharing short video clips, indeed, the company aims to raise people's awareness of the importance of small everyday actions.
Saving energy with a view to the future: Anodica points to Agenda 2030 goals
Through all these concrete actions, Anodica Trevigiana aims to start a process of energy transition, for a continuous efficiency improvement of its production plants.
But reducing production costs is not the exclusive driver of this process. Alongside the introduction of innovative processes and lead management practices, Anodica has an ongoing commitment to sustainability.
In particular, Anodica has joined the 2030 Agenda Path: the action programme signed in 2015 by the 193 member countries of the United Nations that contains 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
Through the implementation of the actions described above, Anodica aims, in particular, at three goals:
- Goal 7: Affordable and clean energy
By using innovative and sustainable energy solutions (such as the photovoltaic system), Anodica invests in a more sustainable development. - Goal 9: Industry, Innovation and infrastructure
Robust and safe infrastructures provide reliable industries and production facilities.
The aim, therefore, is to promote innovative and sustainable technologies for a steady growth and progressive economic development for the benefit of society as a whole. - Goal 13: Climate action
Climate change is a real and concrete threat to all of us and to the biodiversity of our planet. By raising awareness, providing training, reducing waste and using renewable energy, Anodica is working to do its part.
Obviously, this is a constantly evolving path. Anodica is aware that any process and activity can be continuously improved and optimized and for this reason it continues to invest in innovative solutions for production efficiency and consumption reduction.
