What is Ruthenium?

Ruthenium is a transition metal belonging to the iron group. It is a chemical element with atomic number 44. It is a very rare element, usually found in platinum-group metal minerals. Due to the difficulty of obtaining it and its unusual chemical and physical properties, extremely limited quantities of ruthenium are available on the market, a fact which justifies its particularly high price. The appearance of ruthenium is that of a whitish-silver metal, while the finish offered by Anodica Trevigiana has a warmer, brownish colour intended to be more aesthetically appealing.
